Pacific Lutheran High has been a member of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) since 2001. In that span the Stingrays have won over 20 league championships, gone to the CIF playoffs 25 times, and captured their first CIF-Southern Section championship (girls volleyball) in 2009. High school sports provide a unique dynamic for Christian growth, and that learning to maintain integrity while undergoing the challenges one faces in team sports help to develop the whole person—body, mind and spirit. The school's goal with athletics is to teach student athletes to honor and glorify God while striving to overcome such challenges.
Pacific Lutheran High School fields boys and girls volleyball, boys and girls basketball, soccer, football, baseball and golf teams. PLHS participates in the Mulholland League for most of its sports and cross-leagues for some sports where required/needed
