You do not have to have a Lutheran connection to attend Pacific Lutheran High School. Roughly 30% of the students at Pacific Lutheran are Lutheran or attended a local Lutheran elementary school. We have students from over a dozen different Christian denominations presently attending our school who integrate nicely into the daily Christian education occurring on campus.

Pacific Lutheran High School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (W.A.S.C.) Accreditation process. We just received a maximum three year initial accreditation and we will be renewing this for a full six year accreditation starting next year. Graduates from Pacific Lutheran will go as far as their grades and test scores will allow them. Previous students have attended U.C. Berkeley, USC, U.C. Irvine, U.C. San Diego, Loyola Marymount, etc.

Besides tuition ($6,000 per year) and the Enrollment Fee ($500.00), Pacific Lutheran High School has no other major "fees". For example, there are no fees to participate in Athletics, purchase books or participate in activities such as Choir or Study Hall.
There will be expenses throughout the year for various field trips and extracurricular act ivies, but most of these are optional and small in size.
4. Does Pacific Lutheran High School require "testing" for incoming students?

Lutherans have pioneered and developed the field of education throughout its 500 year history. There are approximately 3,000 Lutheran pre-schools, elementary schools and high schools in the United States. Lutherans' emphasis on educating the whole child (academically and spiritually), its focus on the Gospel, and appreciation for the wonders of God's revealed creation manifest itself into quality, consistent learning. There are many different ways parents can fulfill these hours: attending the monthly parent meeting, helping with our school auction, helping run our concession/ticket booth at sporting events, supervising student lunch-time, driving to field trips, end of the year trip, and athletic events. Parents can donate their hours by assisting on our campus work day or on one of our community service days. The office often needs people to help with clerical duties, coverage, etc. The school is also open to volunteer suggestions of time and talent throughout the school year.
9. How can a student satisfy the 20 volunteer hours required throughout the year?
Students achieve the bulk of their volunteer hours through participating in the Camp Arrowhead work project and through participating in the two school community service days. The remaining roughly 5 hours are met through school approved projects/service that that the student completes on his own. Students not participating in the Arrowhead or community service days must make up these hours on his/her own to meet the annual requirement.
