This year from June 2-6th Pacific Lutheran High School travelled to Yosemite Valley, went white-water rafting on the Merced River, toured gold country, and camped. This trip was educational, developed teamwork and leadership skills, bonded students and teachers, and focused on spiritual development of all involved. Parents and teachers chaperoned this weeklong trip throghout the beautiful state of California.

Here is what some students said about the trip:
"The good things about the trip were white water rafting, getting to know seniors and stuff, eating fast food. Most of the free time I just hung out with friends which was a lot of fun. Then the long car rides I got to ride with some seniors which helped me bond and know who they really are."
"I thought white water rafting was fun. It was well worth going to, our guide was very cool as well. The first camp we went to was fun to explore, lots of room to roam. Good view as well. Yosemite was very beautiful, FRESH AIR!!!! :) Hearst Castle was insane. You know you have too much money when you can have a room made entirely out of mosaics."
"I thought that the white water rafting, free time on the camps and the car rides were the best because free time and the car rides we could just relax and not have to worry about teachers getting mad at us. It was basically time to ourselves that we could enjoy with one another. White water rafting was fun because it just was. It was an experience that I hope never to forget."
"The best places were rafting, Mt. Cross and the Villa. I liked white water rafting the best 'cause it was fun. Mt. Cross was fun because they had lots to do there and the buildings were nice."
"On the river rafting, I conquered fears and had a great time. I have not had so much fun in a long time. Yosemite was very beautiful and nice to see what God has made. The opportunity to meet new people was good. Meeting people was an opportunity to branch out and hang out with different people."
