Thrift Store to Open Fall 2010
Pacific Lutheran High School will be opening a Thrift Store in the South Bay Area in middle/late September 2010. This store has been considered by the school for the past 10 years and is now becoming a reality due to good stewardship of God's resources and the committment of several key individuals. The school is presently collecting items for the thrift store which is tentatively being called "Pacific Thrift." You can view the list of items which are being accepted for the store.
Proceeds from the store will benefit students through increased academic and athletic programming and increased student financial assistance.
Our thrift store's manager is Mrs. Mary Carlson, a veteran thrift store expert previously assoicated with Goodwill industries and a chain of thrift stores in Arizona. Invididuals wishing to assist with donations (items and dollars), can contact her through e-mail. Pacific Lutheran is also blessed that Mrs. Maureen Rubin has volunteered to help the school as the thrift store's Volunteer Coordinator. Individuals wishing to volunteer their time to sort, pick-up, deliver, donate, etc., can contact her to offer their help. |
