This course will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to make dietary decisions that will affect their exercise routines in a positive and efficient manner.
Nutrition education will encompass three aspects of learning: cognitive, affective and psychomotor.
In order for students to improve their eating habits, they must first understand certain nutrition information (cognitive). They must then choose and apply these ideas within their own personal value system (affective). Finally, they must develop the skills and understanding to carry out these tasks (psychomotor). This will help the student to better understand how exercise, sports and nutrition are all vital parts of sports performance enhancement.
