As students participate in a variety of aerobic and endurance activities, they will gain the knowledge they need to enjoy physical activity for years to come. They will discover the difference between cannot and will not... between bodily injury and discomfort. They will learn proper form for jogging, sprinting, and simple strength training. Also, as students participate in a variety of sports they will be instructed in the rules and strategies that correspond to each. They will learn the proper technique for many of the motions involved in sports (i.e. shooting a basketball, throwing a football, and kicking a soccer ball) and increase their motor skills and coordination as they do so. To encourage physical fitness and assess student performance, students will be given certain class-wide and personal goals they must meet by each quarter's end. Finally, students will learn good sportsmanship and how to maintain a Christian attitude toward their neighbors as they enjoy the physical bodies God has blessed them with.
