

Comprehensive Educational Website
Pacific Lutheran High School is proud to recommend Educate California. This comprehensive, educational website contains links/passage way to over 2,000 educational websites ranging from homework help, test preparation, skill enrichment, college planning and other important information. One of the best features for this site is that no typing is required. All information can be found by clicking from one link to another. Students are required to create an account name and password before utilizing the site. To begin:
- Go to the Educate California website
- Click the "Sign up now" button to create an account if this is the first time you are visiting the site
- Fill out the Registration Form
- Key PLHS-2012 in the PROMO CODE box
- Be sure to select "Student" for the "Type of User". There is no membership fee for students
Khan Academy
Pacific Lutheran High School is pleased to be able to recommend the Khan Academy as a fine desitation for extra assistance in various subjects. This site is particularly helpful for those needing additional assistance in mathematics or science.
College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
High achieving, college-bound students should consider earning college-credits through successful completion of a CLEP exam. Each 90 minute examination is taken at a participating testing center (locally found in Los Angeles and Long Beach) and costs about $100.00. Close to 3,000 American colleges and universities accept these examinations and will count successful passing of them as course credit. Enrichment and Skill Development
The James Madison University's Virtual Toolbox is a good resource for secondary students. This site provides opportunities for students to develop and/or improve skills in eight different areas including note-taking, test-taking, reading strategies, critical thinking skill development, etc. Please work through this site at your leisure to continue to master basic skills necessary for high school and college success. There are dozens of strategies and tips for stu\dents to improve and develop critical academic skills.

Key to interpreting results:
- Answers marked with a solid circle indicate a correct answer
- Answers marked with a letter demonstrate the wrong answer choice
- Answers with an open circle indicate an answer left blank
- Please pay special attention to the skill tested on the left hand side of the page
- Test booklets are available at the school for students to look through and do skill-building
- Each student's Gradelink log-in code serves as the student's "name" at the top of each page
