Class Objectives / E.S.L.R.'s
- Students will Put Christ first through their study of His Word, meditation upon His teachings/doctrines, and discussion of His saving message.
- Students will Learn academics when they daily delve into the correct approach to the Bible (hermeneutics), study alternative viewpoints to the classical Christian position, and think through the various issues that rise in a study of Theology.
- Students will Hone life skills through their application of the knowledge they receive in this course. They will personalize the gospel message and work to improve in the area of Sanctification.
- Students will learn ways to Serve school, church and community after they have been built up themselves in the Christian faith. Examples of others who have served their churches and communities will be studied as examples.
Materials
All students will need a notebook, folder, blue or black pen and NIV Bible throughout the school year. All other handouts / materials will be distributed by the teacher.
Grading
Students will be assessed through quizzes, homework, participation, class work, papers, tests and a midterm / final. These assignments are each given a different point value and the final grade will be determined by points earned divided by total points possible.

Church Attendance
Students are required to attend church (yours, a friends, or a local Lutheran Church) two times each semester to supplement their theological education. Students unable to visit a church worship service will be required to write a 6-8 page research paper on a teacher approved topic before the end of the semester. Students failing to complete either of the above options will receive a grade no higher than a "C" for the course.

- Bring Bible to class every day
- Be ready to learn something new every day
- Take accurate, neat notes
- Appreciate our Lord and His Word. Consider the subject matter to be the most important material you will study in your life
